Apply for the Italy Hospitality Programme
Global Scholars & Travel Solutions works with UK and Italian partners, including the European University for Tourism (UET) in Sicily, to support international students on a combined study and paid work programme: 6 months of hospitality & hotel management study followed by a 6-month paid internship.
Please fill in accurate information. Keep the personal details page of your passport, a recent photo and your qualification certificates / English test result ready. Incomplete applications without supporting documents will delay your admission process.
Entry requirements
- Minimum HSC / A-level or equivalent; diploma or bachelor holders are welcome
- English: IELTS, TOEFL or another approved English test (or proof of English-medium study)
- A valid passport (at least 12 months validity recommended)
- Interest in hotel, restaurant or tourism work; hospitality experience is an advantage
- Able to show funds for tuition, travel and living costs during the study phase

Documents you will need
Scan your original documents. Make one PDF for the passport (front and back pages) and one PDF for all certificates.

Admission process
- Complete this eligibility check and submit your documents to your Global Scholars adviser.
- If your qualifications meet the entry requirements, the college issues a Conditional Offer Letter with the start date, course fees and duration.
- After the required deposit is paid, an unconditional Letter of Enrolment confirms your place on the course.
- We then guide you through the visa application and health insurance registration.
Frequently asked questions
How long is the programme?
12 months: 6 months of intensive hospitality & hotel management study at UET Sicily, then a 6-month paid internship with Mediterranean hotels and resorts.
Is accommodation included?
Free room and meals are provided during the 6-month paid internship period only. You pay your own living costs during the study phase.
Is the internship paid?
Yes, the internship phase is a paid placement. The amount depends on the employer and placement.
Do I need IELTS?
An English test such as IELTS or TOEFL is preferred. Other approved tests or proof of English-medium study may be accepted. Tell us your level in the form.
Does this check guarantee a visa or job?
No. This is not a final eligibility or visa decision. Admission, placement and visa decisions are made by the institution, employers and the relevant authorities.
